As yet I don't know if I can make it (may be looking
after our 18 month old), but if I can what time would
you be thinking of meeting (Foxhunter would suit me
fine).

Or what time is kick off at Mondello?

Have a bit of a problem for tomorrow.

I'm not going to be able to make it to the Foxhunter for 12. I reckon I'll only be leaving howth about 11.30 - 12 and have to go via Maynooth too. Probably means I wont be in Mondello until about 1.

This too late or not? I'll do my best to get down earlier though.

Killian

Great day - first track day and am hooked completely. Fair play for all the organisation.

Some of the lads in the Ms were incredible - great to see the cars being driven as they should be.

Also it was great to get Ger out for a few laps towards the end as it transformed mt technique which as basically rubbish before.

Brilliant day and to anyone who hasn't been to one before - it really is one of the best days out in the car - DONT MISS THE NEXT ONE!!!

PS When is the next one?!?!?!?!??!

Have to agree what a great style of driving and turnout pity the weather was cold and prevented the track from getting warm but all the same some great drivers and cars out there. It was fantastic to see the cars coming around the last bend side-ways before the straight. Fantastic day and hats of to all those in organising the day.

Same as all the above, superb days entertainment. I have always been a fan of BM's but after getting to try the car on track i appreciate my car 100 times more now and can't wait to get out again. I think its time for some tweeks and and some credit card meltage......

Fairplay to all for organising a great day....the best 140 squid i've ever spent.

roll on the next day of sideways mayhem.

Once again, apologies for the increase in price. It was a necessary evil. Had we not raised the full amount for the date, and the office had to pay the shortfall, you cna be fairly sure they would not authorise future days out!

Thanks to Richie for the admin stuff, Ger for the instruction and everyone else (including Mondello staff) who helped out.

By the way, if you have any photos or video clips email them to info@bmwcarclubireland.com and I'll get them online for you.

Well done everyone for putting on a great show, i
arrived to spectate at around 2pm and it was a feast
for the eyes and ears. Some great driving on display
and a great collection of cars, I was delighted to see
some older machinery too.

The highlights for me were -
The Silver Z3M breadvan - looked to be THE fastest
car out there with fantastic car control on the limit.
Someone has done this before methinks.
Killians e39 - fast yet not dramatic, nice lines through
the bends and effortless car control, just like an E39
should be, also wth the classic E39 blown back light
bulb!
The E36 M3's, brilliantly driven and more than
holding their own against the E46 M3's which to my
eyes looked a bit of a handleful through the bends
although they were awesome on the straights.
Great to the red E24 6. Sounded beautiful on full
throttle and the most elegant car on the circuit.
The red E30 (was this an M3 or a clone?) for always
being on the edge and spinning out in such
spectacular fashion, it looked a real handful in a way
the the other Grey E30 M3 did not.
But to me the real star of the day was the Gold/beige
E30 which while looking like a boggo 318i was able
to keep up with all manner of more advanced
machinery and was driven with flair and aggresion.
What engine was in this car?

It would be great if someone could post a list of the
cars that were there, model and colour....

So thanks to everyone for a great few hours, I don't
know if i could ever subject my trusty 520i to that but I
look forward to the next event, I'll be there with my
tartan blanket and sandwiches.

Thought it was a pleasure to see Barry Rabbitte driving the E30 M3 - made a serious amount of distance between the two lads in the ZM3 and the purple M3, and they seemed to be drivin on the limit to me! There was some hairy driving all the same, but a good days entertainment

Congratulations to all the organisers. Already looking forward to the next one - just hopefully I won't end up parked on the grass then!!

It also makes me want to get rid of my auto box tho'

I had a great day. That breadvan ZM Coupe made my day and my hat goes off to Dave who was drivin it.What a show of driving skills.
I think there are a lot of people really getting into the track days now we've done 3.Very evident through peoples knowledge of lines through corners.

Hopefully people weren't put out to much by the extra costs on the day.I think in the end, people got good value for money and weren't left short on track time.

Bring on the next one.

Oh and for all you people that were starvin,I have a great idea for food for the next one

looks like a great day was had - I saw the M-Trio at an open track day a couple of months ago (M-roadster, E30 M3 & E36 M3) - talented & fearless!

really sorry I missed it, but did get my car serviced, fast road pads in, & new clutch + AC Schnitzer suspension package hopefully arriving in the next week or so, so roll on the next trackday!

Can't wait to see some photos & movie clips posted up.

Again, fair play to all for organising it.

@ Killian - did those wheels work out for you at all?
