Robbie - I think I was behind you for one or two laps before you blew me a way - were you going for the drift challenege from one corner to the next on the back section of the track.

If it was - NICE driving even with you messing it was taking everything my watermattress suspension could give to keep up.

I think the first purchase will have to be a new suspension setup

My M3 has  Bilstein front struts and matched springs and  some sort of BMW sport stuff on the back, front and rear Hartge strut braces, adjustable anti roll bars,  full S/S exhaust .

Wasn't going properly at all on Sat though as diff has started to go a bit lazy - new one to be got soon (open to suggestions).

Robbie - The Silver E30 is mine..

Have a couple of short vids of the 106 followed by the M3 and the 106 was very tidy.  Last one I have shows the 106 shooting out of Dunlop (last corner) and the M3 spinning out.  Miight not be the best advertisement for BMs.  106 seems to be stuck in everything I took now that I look at it.

Sounded great also - shame about the conversation overlaid on some of them

Ok, ZM coupe, u know how to rock.....will be studying now to see how i become a "high plains drifter". That was a superb exhibition my man and hats of to the other guys in 106, E36 and E30 M3's.....great stuff.

By the way, who owns the silver E30? that is one sweet machine. I have seen it couple of times before parked outside the court in Naas, never got around to speakin' with you lads as i was gettin' to carried away with myself on track

............Barry M3....doh!

Agreed, the shorter tighter track suits the light 106 down to the ground. It's unbelievable how quick it is. You were fairly eating up the tarmac too. Is your M3 standard too. The e36 M3 is a better handler than the e46 in my opinion, and probably quicker in the right hands. Who owned the John Cooper Mini ?.

The 106 is completely standard!

They are a brilliant little car, had a Saxo VTS myself for a while and you'll do well to find a better handling car.

The exit speeds in the 106 out of nearly every corner were as high and in some places higher than my own car and a Boxster S.

I presume the GTi isn't standard, or maybe as you put it, it's just the fearless driving. Dave, does your brother need sedation before being let loose on the road  Thanks for the spin by the way, if I need to go sideways in a hurry I know who to call. Great car control, and those power slides. Jeremy Clarkson in his Head to Head video did a review of the ZM and said you can hold the power slide until you run out of petrol, it's that controlable.

Ian H., Killian & Brendan thanks for your exhibitions of driving, and all you guys handled your cars well, but all your driving styles were so different.

Also thanks to Con from N.Ireland for bringing down his mint 635csi, which he told me is garaged 360 days per year, and shows all the signs of it. Would be a good buy if anyone was in the market for one, but unfortunately the autobox and old suspension are not suited to the track. BUt it is not intended for this, and i'd say it is a great cruiser.

Good pace would be one way of  desribing it - -  But I think ZM's is a bit more accurate. God knows where he gets it from

Weather in Mondello was excellent for this time of year (especially when you consder that Mondello has its own arctic micro-climate!)
