Just received a message from the German M3 owners.
Quite a few have booked the same Hotel than some of us. Seems to become a good meeting. Who else is in "House Marvin"?
40 cars have already signed up.

It's gonna be some sight at the hotel if over 40 M3's are gonna be there!

We're all in the same hotel which is good.

I've just registered on this forum after being sent here from the S14net asking questions about the trip.

Ok, bear with me:

weekend 26th 26th June

UK guys hoping to get Friday morning ferry from Dover

Accommodation choices?

I'm definately up for it - I just have to check my Hillclimb/sprint championship rules as there is a sprint meeting that weekend, and I might have to attend the meet to stay in the championship.

How many guys are in Scotland? I haven't looked into this yet, but isn't there an overnight ferry from Rosyth?

Cheers

Hi Steve, I'm in the Glasgow area.

For Rockingham, myself and 215M3 are planning to meet up just south of J16 on the M6 on the Sat morning and drive back north on the Sat evening.

For Nurburgring, the general plan is down to near Dover on the Thursday and over earlyish on Friday, I think.

I am in the process of persauding the wife to let me go and I have e-mailed the hotel to see if they have any space left.

In the meantime has anyone got space in their room if I can't get anything?

Cheers

Graham

Not made any definate plans yet. Uwe was looking at a few options and will get back with further info. Teflon may be travelling down as well. I'm travelling down Thursday and stay at my folks in Cambridgeshire. M3Cecotto is also travelling down on the Thursday and stay somewhere near Dover. Maybe all three of you could sort some accommo once definate plans have been decided on how we cross the channel.

Toby, I have spoken to Brian and came to the conclusion that it makes the most sense to cross over the way he mentioned. So we provisional agreed to take the tunnel latest 8am Friday morning. This will give us the opportunity to have a few laps Friday afternoon before it gets to busy at the weekend. I have booked the whole following week off so will possibly not return with you folks Sunday. It would be nice if we go all togehter but can understand that it might be a bit to early for some of you.

I'll still keen to get there at a good time on Friday in order to do a few laps when the track should be quiet , but I appreciate that being at the tunnel to get an 8 am train is not for everyone , especially those who've already got a long journey just to get there . So lets say an 8 am train . By the time you get off the train in Calais and get out of the out of the holding area ,it's going to be nearly 9am . Add another hour for the time difference and it's now 10 am , then 4.5 - 5 hours driving time to the Ring and it's now 3 pm .Add another hour to dump all the bags at the hotel and freshen up a little and that should leave 3 hours of quiet track time .

Brian & Uwe

That's fine with me. I'm gonna stay at my folks and drive down Thursday morning. 8am at the chunnel is fine with me. When i went to Le Mans last year was at the chunnel about the same time.

Boyd (M3cecotto) was going to travel down on Thursday as well, but can't say if this is to early for him. For Graham (teflon) and Steve need to see if they are definately going as they have not booked accommo yet.

I'm gonna travel back sunday afternoonish, so to be home on Monday. PM me when you go to book.
