If your M3 is still under any form of BMW warranty, you might want to think about going to BMW for a set of winter tyres and rims. That way you know you will get the correct size of tyres for the correct size of rims so that the rolling radii of the wheels is not altered. If you change the rolling radii of the wheels, (esp with something like a M3) the car then throws ted and the blanket out of the pram as it gets confused over the number of wheel revelotions for a given rotational speed of the engine/transmission combination. |

Hi, when we were on the superb outing to the SRC Nero mentioned there was an old thread on snow tyres...so apologies for going over old ground. Either could someone send me the old thread or could someone help...
I have an E92 M3 and I live on a farm. When the snow comes I will definitely be house bound unless I get some snow tyres. I was thinking of getting some 18" wheels and putting snow tyres on them and then just swapping them on as and when the weather dictated it. Where do I get the wheels and snow tyres that will fit and do the job at a reasonable price? I do a lot of miles by the way Thanks in advance. Nicola |
