Highlights for me were a Merc 300SL Gullwing and a beauty of a Jag E-type, not sure but probably a Series 1.5 or 2 4.2.  Loads of recent Aston's, Ferrari's, Porsches, Bentley's and a couple of RR Silver Ghosts and Lamborghini's, Gallardo's and a Diablo.  As well as all the heavy metal there were a couple of nice cars and crews obviously out for a bit of fun in their toys such as a '90's Lotus Elan.  There were also a couple of rice burners including a latest and greatest GTR.

There had been rumours of a Veryon (possibly over from the Middle East) but no sign as far as I could see.

Hi all,

Was at the start of Cannonball last friday in Merrion, great line up of cars, I counted two 8 series and an E36 M3 in 'Police Spec' driven by two lunatics dressed as German police, it was great fun up there. I counted 2 x R8's, 2 x Gallardos, a Ford GT40 and a beautiful E Type Coupe with a fabulously sounding V12. Highlight for me was a McLaren Merc SLR '722' Mille Miglia edition, seriously rare, what a noise. There were also plenty of Ferraris, a nice original looking Mustang 350GT and a beautifully prepared 70's  Porsche 911 RSR in competition spec and Martini livery. There was the new KTM X Bow also, I'd say the lads driving that were glad of the fine weather.

Overall I was mightily impressed as I have been to Goodwood and the Mille Miglia this year already, I guess I wasn't expecting much but I hope it becomes an annual event and continues to attract such rare and unusual machinery.I took a load of pics but can't seem to attach them to this mail. If anyone has any tips let me know.
