Latest photo up date (P.S Hi Georgia tried to ring you,no one home!!) Must have a chat with your Mum!!!

Well as you can see the shut's are done, (photo's taken last week). We are now at 10.30am on the 3rd of Jan and I have just been told the paint will turn up by 1pm

So got all the panel's back on

And not the best masking job in the world, but it will work, note the exhaust stay!!!!! Alway's hit's the trim, bit of 2/1 work's wonders!

So down to painting,4coats of under coat,3 coats of top coat,2 coats of lacquer.
Then DISASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(and the camera gave up!!!)
The last coat of lacquer was going on fine, did the bonnet then the roof,(Yes hindsight is a wonderful thing, should have done the roof 1st as Andrew said, more of him later.)
The overspray that goes on the sheeting that covers the window areas had dried out, and as I was spraying the roof got "Blown" off, all over the bonnet I had just done, and stuck
Why didnt I just paint the roof 1st????? as I did on all the other coats
As is it's in the over over night, and my error, should machine polish out............
Up date and photo' Thursday, N.E bmw meeting tomorrow, now who wanted the old wing's........
Mark E30 M3 RHD!!! now sold !!! still crying!!!!
E36 318 is in technoviolet, for sale
Thank's for the photo Coasting, Flood's on tour!

Don't know if you can see this, but this is a shot after the oven, with the "flakes" in the bonnet!!!

Due to to days help, didnt get tooo much done, kids!!!!
Did get the car out of the oven and ready for a rub down

So after A mchine polish,in the oven over night
1200/3000 rub down+ m/c polish,with g3 the results are as follows.

With the help of Tim (e46 acs) we managed to get the front and rear bumpers on.................
So stage 3 starts.. the re build

Chuffed to bits...it's the bog's dollocks!!!

Only just caught this... (Cheers Coasting)

Mark, looks like you've done a top quality job and I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh on Feb 5th.

I'll be in the 318iS with the missing lower half of the wing, hole in the sills and scuttle etc..

Must get back onto this forum more often!

Not met him, spoke to him Sat.Morning, thought I had new grommet's for the side skirt's but did'nt and rang round the dealer's,spoke to Mark they had 22 in stock (You must have orderd to many) so Tim (E46ACS) went up and one thing led to another, as you say small world.
Should be back on the road for next Sat, you going to be home?? Could have a drive over
