Next time i'll stick to rosslare fishguard a bonus being the easy /quick drive to fishguard this end, none of that holyhead wrongness. |
I always hire Fiat Puntos when I'm there. On my last-but-one stay, I drove it 1600 miles in three weeks, and wrecked the rear suspension by the time I handed it back in Dublin.....
Most of my driving's done on the back roads, so hardly surprising.
Fishguard / Pembroke Dock - Rosslare route would be what I'd use, since I usually need to be in Co.Clare....

Hopefully you won't have ruined the suspension and steering bushes in doing so...

I can't make my mind up wheel wise, original 240 metrics, 17" bbs splits or the alpinas?. It will probably be at gaydon on the alpinas, i will give potential 'victims' a choice.

Sapphire superceded Fjord I think.
Cosmos was a little darker than Sapphire.

Hi sisco,
the solid colour I was thinking of is called Basalt blue I think.
the darker metallic blue was called Arctic Blue I think.
the very dark solid blue was Lapis.
the very light blue-silver metallic was Sapphire.
BMW sure had a lot of blue shades to offer us in the 1980s.

Hallo!
It's a metallic paint....
I was told that my color was superseded by Cirrus, but looking at Your car they told me somthting wrong!!!!!!!!Good colour.... I always thought that Cosmos blue was a dark "electric"blue ....the cosmosblau in 6ers was a "sonderlackierung"= under request colour...There' was the cosmosschwartz as standard....
I'm always learning about BMWs....

You left the back door unlocked, therefore Squatters Rights apply.
You will now need a court order & an army of bailiffs to get the squatters out.

Hi sisco,
Is Baltic Blue a solid or metallic colour?
My 1985 735i is Metallic Cosmos blue. This colour was superceded by Cirrus blue.

Reply to N1kelg:Cirrus blue took the place of Baltic and they are very very very similar...but a little light.
Reply for my dear ady77:
BMW's = garbage. Serious body rot and welding after 3 years - junk. & amp; amp; nbsp; & amp; amp; nbsp; Severe bore wear - junk. Cracked heads - junk. Have BMW ever made a really, really good car?? I don't think they have! Thinking back, the 6 Series was a piece of rubbish.
Yeah , I guess why BMW headquarter haven't yet declared bankruptcy(right , or it's bankrupt?) or haven't stopped the car's production..
huuuuuuh, Now I remember : cause "BMW sold rust copyright to italians , who perfected it."
I DO remember those being rotten at 4 years old!! Thank God for the Italians to build a decent car. Funny how my 28 year old Merc has no rust though!!
opinions are like "the balls", any man has its own..
"985000 kms 3,5 l engine taken from a 735i and still running good despite the last oil change done at about 200000kms...)" So let me get this right............ An old M30 engine with 600'000 miles. Running on the same oil for 440'000 miles. Quite right , just some fillup when the owner remembered that the engine was not sealed for life And still running eh? If You give me Your e-mail address, I can send you a little movie about that car starting at the first time every time, and idling smoothy with a/c on at about 750rpm.. About as likely as a rotten 4 year old BMW. What's Italian for 'Comedy?'.
the italian translation for comedy is this(I try in my bad english): "Ady77 has a working Alfa...."
I hope I solved Your translation problems and the obscure side of this bad BMW world...
reply for 1066BMW:
and if you all wash your cars propley thay would not rust
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
