I probably would have done myself, been about 5 or 6 times so far that some chavs wanted to race and I've just though it's not worth it.But when a thirtysomething (bet that shocked you all) says your a w*****r when your minding you own business then I think that takes the biscuit. |

Don't forget the E46 330s which will invariably have a go cos their cars newer so must be better/faster.

the problem is that most people with inferior cars, would die for an m3,and when they see one, they get all flustered, and just cant help themselves, they have to have a go. I've found focus's and the new mini's the worst culprits, but i did get stuffed by a cossie that was pushing out serious horses, still you win most lose even less. darren |

let face it though its not always the 'chav' fault after all alot of you are saying you'd beat them. how many of you love wasting that nova as much as he'd like to waste you? really just as bad, you've just got more money and don't have to try as hard.
I remeber on 2 occations whilst in my old renault 5 turbo on a nice bit of twist B road i over took large, quite quick cars. One was a 24 valve carlton GSI and on another day a 328 sport, both were well below the speed limit and both drove up bumper once i'd over taken. Like a 'chav' i obviously turned the boost up to 30PSI or so which equated to around 200 BHP in a striped out renault 5 and wasted them round a road i new well |

Tailout in the 535 round a corner usually lets them know they are not getting past me. only on private closed roads of course.

reminds me of the time i got overtaken by a 1.2 corsa (had to be ) filled up with wee chavs.... half a body came out of the passenger window, digital camera in hand, and took a photo, it made me smile maybe it's a prized possession on someones wall, like hunters mount deers heads on plaques |

I know it’s not worth it but it can be difficult to resist especially when your car’s saying to you “can you kick it” I think I can… |

Being 19 when I got my first M3, I had loads of it! I still do from time to time. Culprits include:
Nasty Lexus' (trying to prove that plastic weighs less than leather) Civic Type R(ice), Seat's, Audi's, E36's (esp Compacts!). Plus the usual "Fast and Furious" style nasty chav-wagons!!! It gets boring now, I had a loser in an Audi A3, new 2.0TDi trying to "race" me on a motorway. I just thought, your car is not worth my license! I have *touch wood* 5yrs NCB this year - mostly driving an E30 M3, why would I want to jeopardies it for a nasty Audi?? James |

Disagree on the Novas, especially round MK...its either the 318s with bodykits, or people carriers, Audi TTs or Scoobys. Having said that its got to be considered about how fast someone else is prepared to go.......I had a mega-modded Scoob up my rear end on A5 other week, pulled away slowly but then he shot up the otuside of me when I was trying to pull out to overtake a Corsa...he got past and was doing well over a ton and I'm not doing that down speed-camera alley. BUT this is one of the reasons I'm selling. |

Yep, the Nova boys are far the worst of the "offenders" , it seems they all aspire to some form of Corsa after the Nova has completely failed the MOT on structual repairs... I just dont understand the whole "vauxhall thing"..chevettes excepted Doive........

The chav-racer really doesn't stand much hope against a BM, you can leave them floundering in hot hatch wheelspin every time. My vulnerable E30 318iS could dust down most Kev-cars, though I have to say the M3 really hasn't attraced much attention. |

Used to suffer a fair bit in my E34 535i Sport The Chavs/Nova/Saxo brigade thought it was an old man in his old mans 5 series until I left them standing at the lights. Sometimes they would look across and think I'd borrowed it from my Dad or something (I was 23 at the time). The Nova boyz were funniest, I had one overtake me on the old Dartford 1-way system (Now two way), he had a sign in the back window that read "YOU'VE JUST BEEN NOVA-TAKEN". Him and his silly mates thought is was hileariously funny until he under-steered straight on at the Kwik-Fit turning. |

I get it regularly, but the action that remedies it is simple (and works very well if like you there is a guy in a car with his girlfriend). Laugh at them. Just laugh. They curl up like little hedgehogs and ride off into the sunset suitably humiliated.... |

Yep - same experience, with similar muppets, couldn't be bothered
with them. Thing that bugs me most is the stupid dump valves on
the Toyata Glanzas brigade. Rev shift big whossh and nothing happening!!
