rollcage nearly done in the new shell never realised there were so many bars looks the dogs ............... cant wait to get it back and get it painted, made a few changes to the origanal matter cage copy mainly for better triangulation and different buckets where the rear diff mounts, cage should be finnished tomorrow then theres just the new bias pedal box and the new rear shelf and fire wall also moved rear upright turrets in so the new 60mm coilovers dont rub then straight to paint shop

Nice looking shell there , I only heard that they bolted the diff on the roll cage after mine was all sprayed otherwise I would have done this , what I have done is strengthen up my axle , If I do get any problems with the diff ripping out I'll have to change it.

What are you using the car for , rallying ?

Nice work there, so how come you decided to put a chevy V8 in and not a BMW engine?

i ran a 332 bhp engine in my old m3 and looked around to see what was available in the weight catagory; all was cast and too heavy i want to run reliable 450 bhp with 6 speed so i can go to the ring and i have the car down to 850kgs the only engine that fitted with loads of space around for cooling was the minaro ls1 engine and the tuneing parts are endless up to 750 bhp normally aspirated or 1200 turboed really no choice but i still love my standard cars with passion

I replied to your other post but alll I cam e up with was the Tamiya model paint mix and a couple of links to the Porsche version as used on Jagermeister cars. What colour did you choose in the end? Is it a stock colour or special.

My car: Slowly but surely. Just about everything is off the car and much of it prepped ready for spraying. Really just the rolling shell to prep and then I have to convince my sprayer to find the time to do it hopefully around Easter or early April.

V8m3

Looking and sounding very smart, 2 sorted M3's on the go in the same year, how lucky is the forum. Makes my effort seem quite weady. I'll cage mine eventually, but need to find a place i can completely strip the car that has enough room to work on it.
