Here is what my car is looking like at the moment

The dash and door cars have been flocked and look good

The car has just come back from having an exhaust made for it , it was a custom job to clear the column as its RHD , and I wanted a side exit so it didn't have to go under the axle , they done a really good job , it was £630 all in

I can now get on and get it finished , got a rally to do on the 28th March !

Might be a stupid question but .... what's the reason for routing the
exhaust out of the side?

If it goes out the back it will have to drop under the axle , and they then usually end up getting hit off , and I wanted to copy the works cars as they ran them like that

Robbie , bit of luck and we will both have something to celebrate that day  , sorry edited to spell your name right

That is one doin' it car. Attention to detail is brilliant - you've done this before I reckon.

Your rally events come first, and good luck in March - Are you going to do a photostory webpage or file for all us envious people to drool over!!

I am still liking the Subaru Wheels, tasty!

Looking very nice ! RHD and a side exiting exhaust, won't that be right under the your seat ? You're not going to get cooked in there are you ?

Just noticed the exhaust does not have the 'x-pipe' will this make a difference?

I think the lack of 'X' pipe 'might' be a issue actually, I
seem to remember an article somewhere that
showed that it was very important to the S14.

Also didn't the haward and Scott exhaust that
someone had, have the same issue and was down
30bhp ??

There's some talk on this athttp://www.e30m3performance.com/
Remember also the Miltek system doesn't have an X pipe.

Yes but Milltek is single pipe so what would the x-piece do? X-
piece is to balance pressure between the 2 pipes or something
like that

Looks great Ian, good luck with the rallying.

BTW, On the X-pipe question, looking at Jake's pictures on S14.net I see the DTM exhaust has a kind of elongated X-pipe where it runs as a single pipe next to the gearbox. I hope it doesn't affect your perfomance Ian?
