...but it does have a "Y" pipe which pretty much does
the same thing, something to do with reflected
pulses

I think the ruling on exhausts is that is has to pass halfway down the car before exiting , and it cant be out further than the body ,

I dont have the fuel tank underneath , I have had an alloy tank made to go in the boot
So the back box fits where the tank was , the middle box is under the prop in the middle of the car , I will put some heat shielding on top of that one

I am looking forward to see the exhaust on the car as I can't figure where you "hide" the rear box height wise?
I can see where you'r coming from with the back axles issue, that takes a lot of ground clearance away. But that box between the axles will bottom out on bumps as well ?!?
My center section is scraping every time down my sloped drive.
BTW I am having tears in my eyes imaging what you are going to do with that car.  Hope it performs well!

Yes, some Westfields/Caterhams have them as they are so low,
they pass MOTs OK but do tend to be a bit loud for road use

Talking to the guy last week who made my exhaust , I sent him loads of pics of all the manifolds and systems I have seen on the internet and he reckons that they have the cross over pipe fitted because the primaries are too short , and they have the cross overs to compensate for this , as he has made my primaries longer and equal lengths he says it wont need one , this guy is now retired and makes exhasts as a hobby , he used to make them for F1 and loads of other race cars , he has made a few exhausts for me in the past , so I'll have to see if he's right on this one , if not I can always fit one in later, I need to fit a lambda sensor in anyway.

Looks great Ian, good luck with the rallying.
BTW, On the X-pipe question, looking at Jake's pictures on S14.net I see the DTM exhaust has a kind of elongated X-pipe where it runs as a single pipe next to the gearbox. I hope it doesn't affect your perfomance Ian?

Yes but Milltek is single pipe so what would the x-piece do? X-
piece is to balance pressure between the 2 pipes or something
like that
