If nearer the weekend it does look like the weather will result in the track being shut then we will reschedule the seacat.
I'm planning on Brian keeping up his run of good weather at Easter. |

I know what you are saying Uwe. It would be nice if we could leave it until the week before to see what the weather is doing. I'm lucky in that I can do that, but then I'm taking a chance on the hotel and ferry etc etc.
All I can say is I've been lucky and been twice at Easter and there was a brief drop of rain, which didn't even really wet the track. If anyone is only planning on going once next year, then maybe the Easter weekend isn't for you. PS. Bruennchen is packed for a weekend with bad weather ! |

I was just looking at Ben Lovejoys report for the Easter weekend of 2004.It sounds one of the better weekends as it goes. 4 days of dry weather and not-so crowded track . I guess it's a 50-50 chance at the end of the day. For those that have not been to the Ring on a public day , this link should give you a good idea of a typical weekend. The opening date for 2005 won't be online until around late Feb . Keep checking the official site here ( click me )
The only known date so far is the Easter weekend. The Easter weekend is the season opener and almost a given that the track is open on the Friday to Monday 8am - 7pm.Check with the site before making any plans though. |

The Brits are having doubts on the suitability of going in late March.Seems some want to sit at home and eat Easter eggs, rather than get out on track in their M Power machines Unless there's snow a few days before , I'm there. |

I hope to be there also and meet some of you. Any interest in the Spa- Francorchamps BMW club days on 23 and 24 july 2005, the fees should be around 400 euro for 2 days on the track, a very cheep price...

Update yesterday from John on s14.net
Per Nuerburgring Gmbh the track is being cleared of snow and repair work has commenced. They say the work will be completed on 19. March in time for the first VLN race of the season. Furthermore we have rising temperatures and the rest of snow is melting now. and the weather forecasts are predicting +15c next. http://www.wetter.com/v2/?SID=&LANG=DE&LOC=7011& LOCFROM=0202&type=ADD&id=242 As it is now looking very promising for the Easter weekend who is going? {Editted to add weather link and lower the temp prediction) Edited by kevin |
