I haven't used them before but someone mentione a lid, so assumed this is what they were taking about?

Where about in Livi. Used to stay there myself, but moved west to Bathgate. Be nice to see the CSL, hint hint!!

Not an insurance issue.. just a safety one.

Last time club required all PAX to wear helmets but committee can clarify. I reckon they'll be a few floating around on the day anyway.

All of our track days have been helmets for drivers or passengers only in softops - all other car drivers and pax have not required helmets.

I don't fancy my chances much against the current list of ///M & straight six cars

Don't worry mate, mine might be a straight six, but is heavier than Jo Brand after a half price Chinese buffet.

Craig.. when you get to the hairprin and chicane you'll be thankfull for that lightweight 4 up front. I can honestly say the sixes struggle to find anywhere to put the power down at Crail bar back straight which is the only real passing place but even there.. they'll need to be close.

But and it's a BIG BUT - it's not a race - the emphasis is on learning the habits of your car, have fun and driving with courtesy and common sense + a chance to meet up and have some banter. Adrenalin levels are always to the max without any racing.

You're running 225s all round.. and if that suspension is well set-up then you should get plenty of bite. Watch your brakes and you might be the quickest guy out there.. as us M drivers potter to not damage our bodywork...

I don't mind not being the fastest, I just don't fancy being lapped constantly

If crail is a tight track, then I should have 1/2 a chance of keeping up. The suspension on the car is excellent (Bilstiens sprints & Eibach prokit), and I should have an x-brace fitted early next year.

My front brake upgrade (calipers from a 328, x-drilled vented disks, pagid fast road pads) is still sitting in the garage waiting for the last of my current pads to wear - can't wait to loose those nasty solid discs

Quote as us M drivers potter to not damage our bodywork...
.... What about Gary then? IIRC I seen a video of Crail where Sport EVO + red mist + Tyre wall = *ouch*

Quote Jo Brand after a half price Chinese buffet.

*PMSL*

Cheers

Craig.

Hence Wendy's not joining is this time but will be serving track side drinks and nibbles in high heels and a french maid's outfit. Not quite the sort of pit babe I was hoping for..

Firstly, as Jon has mentioned, it not really racing and is really a chance to get to know and understand one's vehicle and own ability. We all have to start somewhere and no you would not be a mobile chicane. We're all there to enjoy ourselves however fast one wants to drive round.

Come along and enjoy yourself, put your name down!!
