It's also in France, and the text is also in French, not
German. It's just on German Ebay. Looks like a nice thing indeed, it's worth about £8500 if it's a nice one. The only worry is the lack of spare parts for the ignition and injection systems. |

The Alpina B7,s were never brought in to UK by Sytner-they were not the concessionaire, Tom Walkinshaw was.So to get any proper service, it was easier to get on a ferry and drive to Bonn or Essen to an Alpina dealer.Parts were got from Buchloe. The policy was not to support a Model which was a personal import, with 5-6 in the country back in 79-80.Now you can order Alpina parts thru a BMW Dealer., but Not the service. PS-- you need a good bank manager Edited by B 7 VP |

One of these days we will have to negotiate with Alpina for the right to stock and distribute parts for older Alpina cars. There must be a market out there crying out to be served, and served properly. |

Its an interesting proposition--BUT- the agreements between Alpina/BMW AG/Sytner are carved in German stone. The answer,s are the same, and we are talking small quantities. While Parts are still available, even after the limit of spares support/Time has passed, I dont see a request to take over "Classic" 20 year old spare parts from the Dealer Network, would be considered. If there is a particular part/s which is N/A, and no date can be given-that is something else. Wasnt an E 24 Bonnet produced in GRP or--- last year??Thats different--if AG says No more this or that--one Can then remanufactor N/A items. AG are very aware of Heritage-Mobile Tradition, even if it costs--How the different Countries dealer networks play the Music--- is open to question---they ARE all Playing from the same Score,, are they Not ????? |
