What a stunner. Must be very rare.

I think Ross Harris might be rather interested in this one!

Basically it says:

"BMW Alpina B7 Turbo 250/300 bhp. From 1981, 121500 km. Only 5 owners
In France. Light Blue metallic.
Dial to change the pressure of the turbo 0,5 - 1 bar.
5 s from 0 to 100; 25 s the 1000m d.a; 270km / h.
Radio k7 Kenwood, equaliseur, ampli 150w.
On board Computer giving levels. Alarm with centralized closing.
To view it's Visible in Yvelines."

It looks superb with those stripes.

That's weird.

When I tried, it translated as:

Like the teeth of a hen and goes like s**t off a shovel!

It's also in France, and the text is also in French, not
German. It's just on German Ebay. Looks like a nice
thing indeed, it's worth about £8500 if it's a nice one.
The only worry is the lack of spare parts for the
ignition and injection systems.

...and the sheer unhelpfulness of Sytner's to get ANY parts for it if you bring it to WCUK....

The Alpina B7,s were never brought in to UK by Sytner-they were not the concessionaire, Tom Walkinshaw was.So to get any proper  service,  it was easier to get on a ferry and drive to Bonn or Essen to an Alpina dealer.Parts were got from Buchloe. The policy was not to support a Model which was a personal import, with 5-6 in the country back in 79-80.Now you can order Alpina parts thru a BMW Dealer., but Not the service.

PS-- you need a good bank manager  the Special Bosch plugs used to be £13 each, now down to £4.   From the Horse,s mouth --- seems like some poor customer relations??

One of these days we will have to negotiate with Alpina for the right to stock and distribute parts for older Alpina cars.

There must be a market out there crying out to be served, and served properly.

Its an interesting proposition--BUT- the agreements between Alpina/BMW AG/Sytner are carved in German stone. The answer,s are the same, and we are talking small quantities.

While Parts are still available, even after the limit of spares support/Time has passed, I dont see a request to take over "Classic" 20 year old spare parts from the Dealer Network, would be considered. If there is a particular part/s which is N/A, and no date can be given-that is something else.

Wasnt an E 24 Bonnet produced in GRP or--- last year??Thats different--if AG says No more this or that--one Can then remanufactor N/A items.

AG are very aware of Heritage-Mobile Tradition, even if it costs--How the different Countries dealer networks play the Music--- is open to question---they ARE all Playing from the same Score,, are they Not ?????

Depends whether they're playing the original score, or an adapted / rearranged version....

I would say that there is a market for new and used Alpina items, after all, Walloth and Nesch seem to find parts, even if they don't hae it all to hand when you need it! Whilst speeking to one of the guys there, he was saying they get parts as new old stock direct from dealers over there clearing out their spares dept's.
But I doubt whether Alpina would allow someone to set up and sell their items, as they wouldn't have any control over the spares that are sold and who they are sold to!
