System internals/hardware is what counts IMO. Having a pretty case not a necessity although, having an efficient quiet cooling case is also up there.

Hmmm.. Blue-Ray DVD compared to HD DVD

Blue-Ray has huge capacity but, VHS v Betamax all over again, (that's another thread)

I'll sit on the fence on that choice..

Coooool  I had one of them, but the knobs fell off

I've now got a BIG floor mounted beast, with four hard-drives, Mega-Gigs worth of Ram, with an old keyboard and even older mouse swipped - cough - borrowed from work, and a 19" sooper-dooper Flat-Screen - in black.

Still running XP as I don't trust this new vespa lark

Cats know your every thought.

But don't care.

My system had an upgrade of CPU, mobo and RAM just this year, rest of the stuff is 2 years old. Will upgrade when needed.

Alienware is good but would you pay nearly twice as much compared to our systems for prettier packaging?

Check out the system we are currently building... 2 x 36GB Raptor drives in Raid 0 as a system disk to be put in as well. His bluray/HDDVD optical drive is €850!!!
