Sometimes, you just http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/3887493.stm - have to get your own back

...but be very careful if you're trying this one at home!

Enjoy

-all very very amusing indeed....

-now, I for one would love to see some similar anti-419 scam action from 'Father Ted' of the 'Holy Order of the Sacred E Jit'. "Our ancient, proud and holy order of the sacred E Jit, with its many happy brothers (insert picture of Father Dougal) is now in danger of collapse because of the terrible illness of our brother who administers our financial affairs. (Insert picture of father Jack). Only he has details of our bank accounts and in his present condition is sadly unable to perform his duties, so we cannot access our substantial reserves. To treat his condition, he requires special medicines that must be administered at frequent intervals, without which there is no hope. His recovery from this terrible affliction is slow and painful but we hope and pray for signs of improvement. Although the special medicines he requires are not expensive, his illness is acute, so the required dosage to control his symptoms seems very high.  Now, our available funds are almost exhausted. All we can offer him soon is a weak herbal infusion (insert picture of Mrs Doyle, with teapot and pained expression) which will only cause severe and rapid deterioration in Father Jack's condition (insert picture of Father Jack's usual reaction to 'a nice cup of tea'). Just $100 would allow us to continue Father Jack's treatment; when he recovers, we would be only too happy to help you by allowing your funds to rest in our account......." ........and so on....

cheers

Have been made aware of another "Beat the Scammer" story, this time involving e-Bay(!) so if you have the time to read it, http://www.zug.com/pranks/powerbook/ - this one's absolutely brilliant...

...and the best thing about this one is that the address used by the scammer is very very local to me
