Anyone had an experience of leaking fuel tanks , any tips welcome . Car : 1990 M6 , genuine 175,000 miles from new ....

When does it leak? When I fill my tank right up, and the car is parked on a slight incline it starts to drop. not from the cap. I think its just an overflow.

Check that the filler pipe (if metal - I dont kow if it is or isnt) isn't corroded, as this is a great place for dirt/salt to collect and rust through.
