Wouldn't mind coming over from the Island for this too with my 6, she may not be looking pristine cos I intend spending a long time getting her looking good, but she will be road legal by then...and its a short ferry trip from Yarmouth to Lymington, so I can be there easily.

Always wanted to take the kids to Beaulieu and it's not too far from west Dorset.

What time do we have to get there?

We can join in. I guess you might want a wide selection of BMW's so we can bring the M5 down. The M3 is available if you would prefer, just let us know.

Beaulieu , from Lyndhurst take B 3056. Good memories of the first Int BMW Clubs Europa meeting, in early 80,s.Over 900 BMW fans came from all over Europe, some on 2 & 4 wheels from Hungary, for a 3 day bash.We even had trips over to Goldryders world, some even went by BMW Marine-- a division of GB. Painted in "M Colours " of course, none of this ol Saucy Sue stuff, chugging out over the solent .This WAS the Biz, we went out like a M3 GTR, dont think we touched the water, just got drowned by spray, got pegged up on a line when we got to Cowes.

Perhaps Tristan has got something like this in mind for tha future !!!!!!!, put my name down now.

Tristan

p.s I am going to need all your names and addreses to send passes out. This includes people already having there name down. Please add your name down to the original Beaulieu posting. 40 Cars should be great.

Your in MONO,

I am going to be looking at meeting everyone near to the site as poss. If anyone has any idea's of a place we could all meet up before hand that would be great. I also will see if I can get a little Trophy made up for car of the day if I get time. Another car club could judge the cars. We have enough room for 40 cars. I hope to bring along some chrome bits for the E36 models. Should be a great day. I will be taking my Ford Escort RS Turbo S2 Track Car for display on the motorsport stand so sadly wont be able to bring out my RS Turbo S1 unless I did not take the M3 but thats not going to happen. I will be there in my M3. Look forward to seeing you all.

A good general meeting point is 'Rownhams' on the M27 near Southampton. Its basically motorway services by junction 3 of the M27. There is a big car park there and on a Sunday morning im sure we would have it all to ourselves. According to my map (and skills of reading it!) It is about 6 miles from Beaulieu.

There are services on both sides of the motorway so need to ensure we all meet on the WEST bound carriageway services to avoid a trip round the motorway to the otherside.
If this sounds OK I will post up a map

Dudes, the above link should sort it then. Heading WESTBOUND on the M file://\\m27 - 27  (towards Bournemouth + The New Forest)  "Rownham Services" are clearly signposted just prior to junction 3. There is a large car park (rather than Coachpark) by the petrol station - you cant miss it. If the map on the above link doesn't work owing to my seriously s%*t computer ill sort it again.

Al,

You will have to take two cars now

In addition to meeting up with a bigger crowd at Rownham Services I think your idea of a convoy with all of us nearer London is a good one.

I'm guessing you will be heading down to the M3 so we could meet near there. We met Tristan this morning near J4 (Camberley) in Sainsbury's car park which is just off the junction. Would this work ok for you or would you join the Motorway further down?

Cheers

 Yeah that sounds good,

I never speed down the motorway.....worse place to be caught

They have those new cameras at winchester which measure your speed between 2 points

The sainsbury's is the one just after the meadows roundabout heading towards the M3. Shall we meet in the petrol station area as it is smaller ??

Due to problems getting my car repaired, I have taken the decision to pull out of this meet, unfortunately.

I will however endeavour to get there with a friend of mine in his Toyota Supra.  He has offered to meet me off the boat at Lymington.  So I should still be able to see you guys there, just minus the 635.

Sorry for causing any problems with space bookings etc.

Up to 25 cars now. Check names on page 1 of this subject. Want to have 40 so get those names down. Also I am organising a stand for all BMW Car Club members at TRAX 2004 so let me know if your interested in this new event as well. Should have details from TRAX this week so will post up here. Price looks like it will be £10 and as many cars as I want to display but I have to pay upfront so I will be collecting money soon to send a cheque off to them but will post up exact details when they arrive. Would like to take 60 cars.

As i'm coming from the west, i'm not running up to Rownhams, and then back again! Mainly as my headgasket is a wee bit dodgy at the mo, and the less miles i do the better!

Would be nice to meet on enroute with the convoy, anyone got a good idea where and what time i could meet you?

Tristan what's you plan for the run up to Beaulieu?

Was hoping to get to Beaulieu without the 635, sadly that plan has gone down the proverbial too now, so I will be missing it altogether.

Have a great day and I shall look forward to hearing all about it and seeing the pics on here later.

Should be able to get to Rownhams by 8am on Sunday.

I'm travelling from M3 Jct 6, so with a bit of luck, might find the convoy that leaves from Camberley along the way. I'm in a Montreal blue E36 saloon.

Looking forward to the day, but still new to the club, so please be gentle

Just to let you all know I will be going straight to Beaulieu as I need to be there @08:00 to organise all you guys and peg out. I will have your passes on me and will hand them out on the gate. Mark is kindly going to be giving me a hand so I want to have a nice display of cars. Really pleased with the amount of people coming as we are going to be the biggest car club turn out even more than other RS Clubs???? Went and spoke with the organisers last night. So I hope you can all turn up and make this show a great day for all. I still have a few spaces left so please see if you know any one who might want to bring a BMW along to fill the spaces as it would make my day to have 40 cars on show.

Just got home from Beaulieu.  Good show of cars there from here.  I was with the two scatty border collies and didn't stay long due to feeling unwell.  Least the weather held off though, which was good.

The sixes would have made mine look extremely shabby so good job mine wasn't there, and the 8 series in red was gorgeous too....

Looks out to my 6 and wonders if it will ever look like the ones yesterday....can't drive it cos it not MOT'ed and now got arm in plaster for 12 weeks..have come to conclusion I am not meant to drive the flaming thing....

Incidently apologies to anyone from here who got molested by my friend's black and white border collie yesterday, Jack just loves making friends with everyone in sight

Gill was disappointed not to have been "molested" by Jack as he ran off to say hi to somebody else before she had a chance to attract his attention.

Sorry we didn't recognise you and say hello in person.
