Easter Monday, 12th April

Wessex Region of the BMW Car Club will have a prescence at the Andover Classic Vehicle Meet, at Wyke Down.

http://www.wykedown.co.uk/specialoccasions/vehicle/vehicle.htm - http://www.wykedown.co.uk/specialoccasions/vehicle/vehicle.htm

Going for more than 10 years now, this is a great chance to see a variety of vehicles with a good autojumble.  Not many BMWs, but just about everything else.  It makes a great morning out.

We went along and had a great time in the sun looking a a wide variety of cars with a number of owners clubs well supportted. The Auto Jumble was interesting and I managed to pick up a few things at prices that can only be called a "steal".

We tripped over the BMWCCGB area and it did appear as if at least one new member may have been signed up on the day . I know the Wessex region has had a few changes recently but it was a good event and one I'm sure we could drum up a lot more support for next year.

Anyone going to events like this again, please look out for the Auto Jumble people selling BMW goods, and get a Phone no if they are interested in going to Gaydon in August please.

There is a big Autojumble at Beaulieu 15/16 May. http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/common/majorevents.cfm?event=4 - Beaulieu Spring MotorMart & Autojumble

If we do head down I will certainly see if they would be interested in Gaydon.

When they finally come to write "Sohlman's" epitaph, something along the lines of:

"He spent his money on women, cars, and fitted kitchens"

would be appropriate.....
