Try 340bhp 255s and still next to nothing for traction........ got her spinning, slipping & sliding but haven't managed anything close to a decent drift - especially the ones at the sides of the roadbiggrin1

The snow was fun but it was the idiots tail gating that scared me. Driving in a blizzard with no grip and visibility down to around 20 yards is great especially when someone is driving so close that I can't actually see his headlights in my rear view mirror. He didn't even back off when I lost it on a roundabout.

I agree. We all become 17 year olds when it comes to sideways cornering in the white stuff, but the pillocks that drive beyond their capabilities and tailgate you in sheer ice conditions scare the crap outta me.

I had a bit of fun on the way back from a course i had to do. im at the top of a gradient with a main road left - right and i wanted to go right. waited for a clear gap eased the power on and woohoo the b*st*rd wouldnt move, wacked into manual mode on the auto box put it into 2nd and tried again, nothing and at this point i was feeling a bit silly :) in the end im jumping up and down in my seat (like that is going to help) with my foot to the floor trying to spin all the ice away to get a bit of traction. When it finally got traction the arse end spun out left and right then straightened up and i managed to get onto the main road.

Further along the journey i made sure i didnt have a repeat of the above but managed to navigate some really nice bends with the arse end sliding out (not quite power drifts but fun all the same) and all this at an amazing 20 mph if i was lucky :)

Since i have moved from london to norfolk (last march) I have had 3 bouts of snow yet previous to that its been a good few years since its settled in or around london making practise a little difficult. However the country lanes are bluddy excellent fun in the snow so long as its safe to do so.

I would like to point out to the people above it may be scarey when the buggers tailgate you but remember its their insurance thats gonna get hit if they hit you.

P.S. Steve nice avatar a man after my own bones.
