Apologies for the lateness of this post,
The plan for the September run is to meet up at the Shell fuel station/Ford garage in Coupar Angus at 11AM leaving 11.30 for Glenshee Chairlft/ski centre where there is an opportunity to eat and drink as well as take photos, afterwards we will make our way back down via the Moulin moor to Pitlochry with the view to heading to Killicrankie and Blair Atholl, all without going on the crappy A9!
Anyone up for this?
Cheers, George and Michele..

GOING.
Michele & George.

Forecast for next week is looking better than of late so here's hoping for a nice day for the run up to Glenshee. If there are any of you who have never ventured up this road it is an A road which is a  nice mixture of corners and long bends, some narrower sections and some which have been upgraded. There are some roadworks and also some parts where the surface is less than perfect but all in all it is a nice run up to what is supposed to be the highest major road in Scotland.
A great drive no matter what pace you decide to drive.
I need to speak to the boss at the Shell station to see if we can assemble in one of his yards as there is supposed to be an auction sale being held there on the Saturday so I will clarify that during next week.
Should be a good day out for all.
George & Michele.

Have spoken to the powers that be at the Shell/Ford garage and they are quite happy for us to assemble in their yard immediately to the left of the forecourt which will save us from parking on the road. There are two yards and the other larger one is being used for some kind of auction on the Saturday so there will be punters collecting stuff there.
Petrol station is fairly reasonable priced so if you need fuel and they sell coffee from a machine and something that they describe as food also in case some of you have had to skip breakfast. The hope is that we will get a half decent drive to the top before the road gets busy.
See you Sunday,
Cheers, George.

I'd say meet at McD's at the Forth Road Bridge at 9:30 for a 10:00 (sharp)  depart. According to Google, the journey to Couper Angus is 1 hour 2 minutes so this will tie in very nicely.

Guys, going to have to bail on this day out. Judging by the way the beer is going I'm going to be nursing one major hangover and also have lots to do before I head north again on Monday.

Brilliant day, nice to meet new faces aswell as old friends.

260 odd miles covered and have a great time doing them.

Even managed to take flight at one point and a bit of "tail right out" drifting at another, woohoo.

Thanks to George and Michelle for planning and leading today's drive to Glenshee - some brilliant roads and scenery, even better with the roof down Wink

Your new car is lovely - the stowable tow hook has to be gadget of the year (did anyone video it?)

As per usual a few pics from today are on  http://www.bmwccscotland.co.uk/meets/2014/sep/glenshee14.html" rel="nofollow - http://www.bmwccscotland.co.uk/meets/2014/sep/glenshee14.html

Indeed, a really enjoyable day. Thanks again George and Michelle. Car running better than when we started out. Even reached a dizzy 4500rpm! Injectors should be clean as a whistle now Emoticons     Pics are great as usual, Nero. Roll on the next run.

Sorry I missed out. But I was laid up in bed all weekend with some sort of viral infection. Raging I missed this as it was the last one before the car is put into its romper suit and Into its cot for the winter

Had a cracking day with good chat and stunning roads/scenery.

375 miles added to the odometer and an 80 litre tank emptied. LOL

Had a solo blast along the A822 from the A9 to Crieff and along the A85 to Crianlarich before heading down Loch Lomondside. Brilliant!

Glad you had a good day John. I have to say that it was an awesome sight looking in my rear view mirror and finding it fully taken up with such a stunning car. Also made that Porche at Bankfoot look a bit tame.we stayed back to see and hear all the cars leaving and wish I had video'd it they all sounded fantastic!
