Well sent my car to Owen Ferry in Paisley to have a look over the car and a service amongst other things.

Well he had a look over it and found more of the dreaded rot

So he has put me onto a guy he has recommended and after a wee chat and a price the car is booked in on 9th June.

It will be MIA for 10 days.

I'll keep you updated with the progress

Rear of front arches and front of one of the rears. It's going to need repair panels. A lot of cutting out and new panels out in. A bit like wheeler dealers I think

Buy a welder and gear and learn how to weld. Works out much cheaper in the long run. I would want a factory finish for that much wonga.

There is no way the government would allow me anywhere a welder for public safety worries. LOL

The finish/repair I have been assured will be invisible

Well got my car back yesterday.

Here are the pics of the car when it was stripped. Bearing in mind this area was supposed to have been done in 2007/08

BMW do not do repair panels so the bodyshop had to fabricate their own.

The jacking points were goosed as well. So new ones were also fabricated

The car was MOT'd today and a new battery fitted.

I have spent a bloody fortune on it in the past 3 months.
