Not having a clue about technology I was wanting to find out if these snap in connectors work in all e60s ? When I go into the menu on my idrive it says Bluetooth connection active but it won't find my phone or my phone won't find idrive, do these connectors make finding phones possible or do they basically just hardware your phone to idrive so you can make calls ? Also can I play the music from my iPhone through idrive with one of these snap in connectors ?
Thanks
Swill

Sadly I don't know the answer about 'snap in connectors'. Does your car have a USB socket on it anywhere?
I hired a vauxhall insignia sometime earlier this year and it has a USB port in the armrest cubbyhole. It allowed me to play tunes but I couldn't work out how to use the phone bit (even though it had a sharktooth on the roof).
I'm sure someone else will be able to help.

the snap in adaptor will make no difference whatsoever. The phone should connect by bluetooth without it. the adaptor only allows for incar charging and it boosts the signal as its connected directly to the aerial in the shark fin i believe.
