A couple of us were chatting and the subject of an evening meet came up again. I'd like to propose an evening run leaving from Granada Services Musselburgh at say 6:45pm with a trip over the Lammermuir Hills to Eyemouth (for chips and pics) via Coldstream and back to Musselburgh to disperse from there. Who is up for this ? Probably a Wed evening. |

No need to be like that! Im wasnt complaining! Just stating that I cant make that date as I have a busy week with the work im getting done in the house and the prep I have to do for Gaydon. I have never missed a meet for ages and as you know I always do my best to attend for this one I just doubt it will be possible and dont want to say I will go and then cancel at the last minute. It doesnt mean to say you guys cant go ahead with it and I wasnt suggesting you change it! ------------- |

Not at all, I was just explaining that was why I asked about availability so I could choose a suitable date for most. If I dont have the info I cant make a choice. I had to decide on a date and thats what happened. Issy knows that and I know that if she can be, she'll be there.

Yep, ofcourse. I propose a 6pm meet (at Granada services at the old Burger King entrance) for a 6:30 departure. Should be in Eyemouth for just after 8pm chippy tea then a wee dash over Coldingham Moor and home, maybe via a pint, time depending. |

Well, it was a great run. Despite the rain Mike and Cliff turned up and we set off.
The run over the Lammermuirs was spectacular, what a road ! and the challenge of the rain just made it better. There was loads of wildlife on show and Mike tried to bring some of a pheasant / grouse home in his bumper grille.
Eyemouth sported an unusually high Police preasance, maybe they were expecting riots and looting ?? The chippy was as expected (excellent) although we weren't allowed to sit in and eat as the woman had just washed the floor. Hmmm
The trip home was over Coldingham Moor and through some very low cloud. Challenging again. The worst part was the A1 back from Cockburnspath with loads of spray from the lorries making it tricky.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and look forward to doing it again maybe in better weather.
