I can't seem to find anything on this??

I've just upgraded my 2000 e38 740i standard monitor to a widescreen but I can't get it to play in widescreen can anyone help? I've disconnected the battery a few times but no difference the car is a 2000 740i sport built november 1999? and the nav player is a mkII, I live in the u.k.?

The problem lies with the TV module. You will only ever get 4:3. The ideal solution is to fit a digital /widescreen tv module, which will then also give you all the Freeview channels. However, I'm afraid these have become rather expensive as analogue tv has been switched off, although they are a simple plug n play.

There are masses of TV modules for sale including 16:9, but these will be analogue, so beware
