Hi all
as a newbie to this forum I hope I'm in the right section.

I have several issue with my beemer:
2002 x5 3.0d

1. no alarm and central locking, yet remote can still unlock/open the boot remotely!??
interior light don't work and it seems to have stopped at the same time as the central locking. i may be wrong but could there be a link?

the alarm was going off without it being interefered with, something was triggering it off while i was watching it being locked and noone near it. The alarm has stopped working now anyway, but i did have the leaking shock absorber changed which seemed to have had something to do with it as it kept going down and changing position, possibly triggering the sensors..could that be the case?

i have been told something to do with a "general module", but when BMW did a diagnosis on their computer, it didn't show any faults?!

2. cigarete lighter not working, but all fuses OK!?? how can that be?

If any light could be shed on these issues, i would be greatful!

Cheers
