Ok by popular demand we are heading up north for the November monthly meet.
The intention is to travel up to Nethybridge on Friday 5th for a 2 night stay.
I have been in touch with the hotel and they have offered us £40 DBB per person per night or £33 BB PP PN. They have plenty rooms - single double or twin available however we need to get booked asp as they are advertising their Xmas package weekends so its possible the rooms will go quickly. If you are interested please PM me for hotel details then call the hotel to book giving them my name. If you can only make one night the same prices apply. If anyone just wants to join us for lunch on the Sunday thats fine too. It would be good to see some of the guys from the North make it.
Can you add your name to the list when you get booked so I have an idea of numbers.

I was thinking for those who go on the Friday there are lots of terrific roads we could explore on the Sat and Im open to suggestions for a run.
Then on the Sun we would drive over the Cockbridge/Tomintoul road to meet any North guys who would like to meet up for lunch on the Sunday maybe in Crathie again open to suggestions from anyone who knows the area and then head home via Glenshee.

I think the DBB is a good deal  at only £7 more and we should just go for that. Not sure what there is round about anyway as an allternative. They also said that we can eat in the bar as an alternative if we prefer on the DBB deal. Happy to go with what everyone else wants to do though I will probably book it today.

Thats me booked too!

This has the makings of a great weekend and a fantastic end to our year. When I was on the phone the guy told me they have the Turkey & Tinsel breaks on that weekend so everything will be all festive. The Christmas decys will be up and there will be entertainment on both nights. I did warn them to have the bar well stocked too

I know the area fairly well so I will have a wee look at the map and will sort out a wee drive on the sat aftn but if anyone knows any good routes please let me know.

Its pay on departure so no worrys about paying out just now for it!
So get it booked if you have not so already and let me know so I have an idea of numbers.......EVERYONE WELCOME!!!

Will anyone from Aberdeen area be joining us?

Think there is a run being organised on both Sat and Sun so whatever suits you. Most have opted for DBB for both nights but entirely up to you

3.30!!! Come on that's a bit unfair. I know it's a rusty old Italian shed but surely your Alfa will get you there by midnight

I know we're not even there yet but very roughly what sort of time will we be aiming to leave the hotel on Sunday.
More for Nicola's benefit so she has some sort of idea what time to leave and meet us there before we head off.
I guessed 11ish but i don't know the planned route or destination so thought i'd ask on here in case i'm dishing out dud info.

Personally speaking, it'll be weather dependant as to what time I leave on Sunday. Weather nice = go on drive, weather crap = head South and home.

I am so sorry I have not updated this thread recently but as some of you may have noticed I have been missing over the last week. I had an operation last Wednesday which has put me out of action.
Unfortunately I will have to pull out of this weekend as I need to recuperate and cannot drive for around 3-4 weeks
So I have to apologise to all those going and I hope that you all have a fab time.
I am of course gutted that I cannot go

Hi folks,

I'm your new maw for the weekend (ha ha).

Issy has emailed me two runs one for the sat and one for the sun.

It is up to you if you want to take part or just be a couch potato.

I think we will probably leave the hotel about midday on the Sunday and drive over to Crathie, Breamar and down through Glenshee.

The sat drive is just a small one to the Cairngorm ski centre and possibly the railway to the top of the mountians if you want.

See you the morra

Well the idea of Gary being mother is a scary one! See you all on
Sunday at the hotel :) i hope the partying on sat night will be kept
under control so that some of you are awake enough to follow Gary's
lead on the run... We will need our wits about us One request Gary...
Please choose a route minus speed cameras as if i have to drive as
fast as last time to find you when you take some unannounced turning
then it might actually be the last time for me if the cameras get me :)

On a serious note please all be careful and don't come back with any tickets from the Highlands finest!

I on the other hand will be here at home with DAVE thinking of you all having fun
