Hello all

I was wondering if anyone has had / got LM reps that's were
purchased from BM Autosport? If so what is the quality like?

Don't want to end up buying them if they will corrode in no time at all.

Dave.

I had a set from there

They will corrode eventually especially the bolts

If you can go for Linea Corse reps

They last longer and the bolts are metal instead of plastic

Why not give Julian at Turriff Tyres a call and ask what he can supply

I know they have the mat and gloss black ones

I have the LM reps from Turriff ... came on the car ....

Seem to have lasted longer than other reps, although starting to look a bit worse for wear now that the winter gave them a right kicking ....

Bolts especially flaking pretty bad but otherwise for the severity of the winter, they have held their own, and I would definitely recommend this replica brand.

Keep them well waxed, dont power wash them, keep them clean and dont use acidic wheel cleaner and they will probably last twice as long.

Cheers for the comments guys.

I just can't decide what to do, LMs will look awesome but I will
be gutted if they only last 5 minutes and start looking sh*te in no time.
Other wheels I had in mind were CSL reps which is theory should look
newer for longer....

The CSL reps are ok too and will last longer, however in my opinion just dont look right as the backs are the same as the front, they dont look right without the concave face due to the originals being wider......thats just my opinion.

With the LM's, it depends how long your definition of lasting 5 minutes is and how well you are willing to look after them. Would you accept them lasting 2 years? Thats how long mine lasted without really looking after them (ACS reps)

I have the same opinion about the CSL reps, I'm sure you can get a staggered set up but arch work might be needed?

2 years would be good ha! I'm a fussy man and would want the wheels to be tip top all the time.

So yours only started to corrode 2 years into owning them?

There are a staggered set of CSL rims on bmautosport, but as you say i would think arch rolling would be required, which is fine if you are happy to mess with your arches.

The lips lasted about 2 years the studs a bit less time, however i wasnt overly bothered about the studs.

i think my wheels are LM reps? (but in a 4 stud pattern)

don't know the maker or supplier but some of the "fake
bolts" have got slight corrosion/flaking & they were
fitted by the last owner about 4 mths ago.

If I was doing it again, I would probably go for ACS Type III, but non racing ones, or the LM reps, I think the BBS should be unique to the 328
