Hi Krugaercsi,

Are you sure it's the switch that's at fault? More likely to be the wiring.

Is your Motorsport Edition Misano Red, Macau Blue or Nogaro Silver?

hi andyS, The car is macau blue, the seat switches are missing and the wiring loom has been cut, the seats work in the aid of a wire from 12V supply to individual motors on base of seat, but i want to put my baby back to original if poss.

P.S. made a boob with wheels, too big an inset, need to put spacers on front, you wouldn:t happen to know the proper inset size offhand?krugaercsi..

All the switches are available from BMW (at an exhorbitant price).

I've probably got most of the wiring if you need it.

An '88 - '90 E32 7-series, 8-series or well-specced E34 5-series should provide the switches.

Wheel-wise, I'm using 8x17/9x17 Style 32's from an E39 540 Sport (with concentric hub rings). These fit fine with 255/40 tyres on the rear.

This style was also available on the E46 3-series & in 18" on the E38 7-series. Sounds like you have the E46 ones which have very little external dish (it's all on the inside).

Any wheel from an E34 5-series, E32 7-series, 8-series & (with hub rings) E39 5-series will fit.

Rather than mess around with spacers I'd move the wheels on & get the right fit.

go to the online catalogue site, http://www.realoem.com/bmw/" rel="nofollow - http://www.realoem.com/bmw/ , find the switches you need and then check the part numbers for commonality with other BMW models, that way you may find a wider search area
