I’m always dead wary of these ‘offers’. Look at the small print. It looks as though you must use them for any repairs or the £20 doesn’t count. I think that in many cases with these offers near passes will become fails and the bills will rack up to cover the cost of the discount. I have a MOT centre that my mechanic chap uses for all his clients and the two have a very good working relationship and mutual trust – if you know what I mean.
If it wasn’t for that I am aware the local councils 'run' MOT centres where their vehicles are tested. As far as I know these must also be open to the public.
