As Bentley's states..."To avoid fuse/relay panel damage from repeated connecting and disconnecting, also include a toggle switch."

In my case, testing fuel pump issues, you pull the fuel pump relay and plug the jumper into the slots for terminals #30 and #87. With the switch you can control the test better and not engage the pump test until you're ready.
