Hi all!
I have been very impressed with the amount of feedback I am getting on my other posts. I am probably going to be posting for sometime yet, as I am in progress of a project. I need to know how easy it is to replace the front wings? I can get a pair of wings for about £50, and would just like to know how much I should be expecting to pay for spraying and fitting? Is it simply a colour match and bolt on job, how much work is involved, and does anyone know of any good places I can get it done in the west london area? Cheers all! |

| they do bolt on, but the cheaper pattern parts may not fit as they should! |

I have some front wings for a E36 Saloon available...
N/S in Estoril Blue, Perfect condition apart from small chip on top edge, O/S one in Estoril Blue, crease on front of wing, not hard to get repaired. and a Brand new BMW O/S wing, not painted, cost £135 new... Get in contact if your interested, loads of other bits too 
They simply unbolt, easy to change. Don't know how much you might expect to pay to get them sprayed though.. guess £200 for a good job... P.s When buying wings for the E36 be aware the side indicators changed in 09/96 the early cars have the larger style indicators, after 09/96 they use the slim style. ------------- Mark Roberts

Be careful its not as easy as you think. Ive done a few bolt on wing replacements on pug GTIs and there is quite a bit of work to make it look good. Will write a guide if you want but it will be a bit of an essay? Getting a decent replacement wing is important, as is the decent spray job. I’ve always used copy parts, but the quality varies considerably. Don’t forget the inside of the wing, and expect the spray to blend into the door covering most of it (bonnet to if fitting a pair). If you fit and prepare them yourself £40-£50 a wing inc paint is what I pay. |

Cheers to everyone for their info!
I am probably going to ask a friend of mine who looks after the car, and works at a bodyshop to see the best option, as cheaper is not neccessarily the best option. I will see where the bodyshop he works at gets their bodypanels from, and go from there. I won't be replacing them anytime soon though. Thanks all! |
