Looking for help with heater control.
If heater at 18 deg C and turn to 20 deg C heat that comes out is hot. Turn it slightly down to 19 deg C and goes cold again. If i leave it with the hot air blowing it goes cold eventually. Therefore turn up slightly, becomes roasting hot again, and then goes cold again. This keeps happening until the controller is at the hottest setting. Will something be loose/disconnected behind the control? Or is it something to do with the temp sensor to the left of the controller. Has this happen to anyone else and if so what was the cause? |

Thats the whole point to the system - climate control - select the temperature you want!! It basically will blow hot until the selected temperature is reached then it will cool off otherwise it will go above the selcted temperature then you might aswell go back to the 'old' blue/red knobs. If you want hot all the time, select 32. If you stuck a thermometer in the car it should read the same as the selected temp on the heater. Thus the system maintains the selected temperature. |

Sorry don't have this climate kit in my car, just old twisty dials. It's either very hot or nothing. Can't get a comfortable temp.

This also automatically controls temperature, but it also controls the fan speed. If you select a temperature that is a fair bit different to the cabin temp eg, 32 then select Auto it will blast you with hot air until it reaches that temp then it will turn the fan down and possibly vary the temperature coming out of the vents (not the actual selected temp - 32). It is handy if you open the window and loose heat, it will then speed the fan up again! Does the same thing in the summer with the air-con. |

Don't quote me on this but your heater may have a thermostatic valve - this would create the same affect as Climate. Normally the heat knob would open and close a valve to stop/allow water thru the heater matrix - maybe this needs checking |

Will have a look when i get a spare minute. Don't want to start removing parts of the dash, especially when the heater controls are connected by the cables etc. pain to be honest. A winter job as don't really use in the wet and salty times. |
