That must be one of the best jobs in the Police. I wonder if its a rapid response type or is it just out there to gee up people into having a wee race? then nab them.

last night about about midnight I came onto the M8 eastbound at at Charing Cross , from Great Weatern Road, so joined on the outside lane , I noticed a Silver E60 with a reg number starting SF ahead of me . I remember this thread and watched the E60 which was quietly driving in traffic then a a taxi joined the motorway and off he went , he must have been doing over 90 in the 50mph limit pasing the royal infirmary. the E60 was straght on to him and sure enough further along the road there they were stoped on the hard shoulder POLICE signs light up all over the E60.

 It may have been midnight but the M8 being the M8 still had a  fair amount of traffic about and every body was doing a bit over 50 but the taxi driver was mental.

You want to try driving on the M8 at 4 am.  I was heading up to Perth for a shift on the Railway on Sunday morning and the road was full of taxis all running around daft after the clubs all chucked out.  Most were of course Skodas!

When I first got my E39 I was working up near Tyndrum so I used to drive thru Dumbarton (40mph dual carriageway)and at the time the Polis at Dumbarton Plod shop were driving around a blue E39 which the reg number also started with S.  I used to get folk all sitting behind me not wanting to overtake as they knew there was a blue 5 Series Plodmobile who's reg no. started with an S.
