Hi, I own an 2003 316i. i was wondering if it is possible to fit an On Board Computer to my car. Could it be done by DIY means, or is it a specialist job, Anyone know where I could purchase this item either used or new.Thanks.

Apparently all you need is the indicator-stalk with the button on the side which you can get from  a dealer or scrappy
have a look at

Yes, the OBC can be retrofitted. The BMW # is 62 13 0 015 965.

When fitted, you have to code the car to "let it know" that it has OBC installed. With the correct equipment this is not difficult.

HTH,
Eddie.
