Subject: April meet 2007 ....
Date Posted: 14-March-2007 at 18:33

As you will all know by now our April meet is booked in for a visit to  Davy at "B.M Motors" at Law Village ( as organized by Gary ). Davy has , as in previous years , asked if a "Few" of us would like to get there car on the ramp for a couple of minutes to see the underside . This is an opportunity very few of us have as we don't all have access to a ramp. Therefore we will be compiling a list , as we did last year which worked successfully, of the people who would like this done . Then if there is any work you require to be done you can book it in with Davy. If this is of interest to you please post up here or P.M me so as i can compile a running order. Just send me your name  . Thanks !!

Any of the East coasters wanna meet up and drive through so we don't get lost, could follow Nero. Hermiston Gate is a building site at the mo so thats out cos the cars'll get clarty. What about the park and ride just off the Calder junction on the A71 or maybe even Gyle carpark??

The other thing is I have a 1 hour long film on Colin McRae on my laptop, if anyone wants to see it (or parts of it), I'll be happy to bring it along with the VGA projector. There must be a wall to project it on to at the garage. Just a thought.

I'll be there, Newhouse at 1pm. If there's a ramp space I'd take to have a check over suspension, but if someone has a more urgent need I'll happily give up the space should I get one.

Hey East Coasters,

Why don't we meet up at the Gyle Carpark at 12PM. As you come into the Gyle from the Gogar roundabout there's a wee slip road before the next roundabout at the entrance to the shopping centre. follow it round and I'll park up just a wee bit after it comes into the carpark, Canny miss me, Biaritz Blue E39, my ugly mug behind the wheel.

I chose the Gyle cos its only 2 minutes further from Hermiston gate and M8 for all of us coming round the bypass, Issy, Vpricey, Rossi, Me and whoever and its just a few mins from the Newbridge for the Fifers if you wanna join up too and if you're in Town, lets face it, you kinda need to go past it anyway.

Hope I'm not stealing anyones thunder here in arranging this, Hopefully Nero and some more experienced forum members will meet and "show us the way"

Probrbly aim for leaving there between 12:20 and 12:30 to head through for lunch.

Pictures,

As per an earlier posting, I'll be bringing my laptop / VGA projector to show at Davies (if theres room) If anyone thats going to attend wants to show some digital pics while there, bring them along on a flash drive and they can be shown from there. Wouldn't mind seeing a Bluebro "before and after" slideshow (the car!!) it would be nice to see some pics of previously owned motors etc. Just a thought !!

I travel all round the east coast, west coast, central belt and borders at work, and motorways get a bit tedious and rat racey for me Cambell so, count me out.

I'm going the scenic drivers' route..

Awesome weather. 25 or so cars. It seemed to be unofficial E39 M5 day! Tremendous spread put on by Davy & Jean with buffet, raffle & ramp-time. Delighted to see the club supporting Davy too with cars getting booked in for work. Good to see plenty new faces too. Roll on Troon

I loved my golf day and admit I did a wee drive past at half five. Only got a glimpse of someone getting into a silver M3 with CSL wheels Maybe it was a csl. A few cars left didn't bother stopping as had to get my passenger home for his tea! Didn't see anyone enjoying any driving on the nearby roads.

Cheers to everyone who turned up and made this another cracking event... Davy was knackered by the time the last car went on the ramp.

The church made £65 so thanks to everyone who dipped into their pockets, this means we can use the car park again for next years meet.

Davy and jean were really impressed by the array of machines on display.

Well done one and all

I spotted ya Ian, that was me gettin ready for a blast down the A71.

Another great day had by myself, felt like going home after my work but really glad i changed my mind.

My first time up at BM Motors, many thanks to Davy and Jean for their awesome hospitality, those fresh cream apple turnovers and hot tea were to die for!

Also great to see everyone's cars looking their best, short sleeves and shades being worn and some good banter and refreshments, roll on the summer.

Folks that was my second meet and was a great day out.

Great to talk to everyone and great weather made the day.

Fantastic to meet the legends that are Davy and Jean. Big thanks to Davy for looking over the car esp. as mine was later in the day. Even greased up my sticky bonnet catch for me. Big bonus for me was he said underside was like new

I must second Pardeep's 'freash outa the box' looking M3 was highlight of my day. Lucky sod!

I thought I saw someone looking. Don't suppose if you heard my engine ticking, that was the main reason I wanted to go. So that I could compare m3 for m3

Looks lovely mate.

A big thank you has to go to Ian Young, one of Davy's customers who provided all the prizes for the tombola. He has promised us even more next year as he did not realise how big this event was to be.

Ian the club thanks you

Looked like a good turn out, with perfect weather, only managed a quick hi and bye at Newfield, had to be in Glasgow for 1.30 was bloody starvin and seeing all the food being served made it ten times worse, if I'd have known there was some of you at Davie's till late in the afternoon id have popped back out. Glad to hear all went well and will catch up with you all at Ayr.  Gav.

Great day guys, good weather, thanks to Davy and Jean, and Gary M.

Plenty dream cars as usual, good to meet new people Girl22(sorry forgot your name) and Chris. Davys ramp revealed some work needed on the E34, upper control arm bush, and drop link joint..., not bad I suppose for 160,000 miles..BTW 3 cans of Fosters are history

 Cheers Michael.
