Does anyone know anything about the on-board computer in an E30 M3 ?

I recently purchased the car and it doesn't seem to be working at all. Is this a common problem and is it worth fixing ?

Thanks

have a closer look at differnt angles. The backlight is sometimes blown. Switch between the functions and try to see if the display is changing views.

Could be the plug that goes from the back of the instrument cluster to the OBC has fallen out.
Or one of the many fuses in the fuse box
