Hi guys,
just a quick hello from me. I've just found this website, which appears pretty cool.
I'm on my second BMW though its my first e39. Luckily enough, its a 530da sport , so its all I've wanted in a car and a massive change from my previous mount which was a rx8.
Looks to be plenty other members here from Aberfreeze, so helloooooooo

Woody

and there she is in all her glory a few weeks ago before all the cold frosty stuff decended.
I tried to buy the newest I could so got an 02 plate. I just couldn't take to the new style 5 series. (apologies if that offends anyone)

I'm currently trying to get the ecu remapped. My preferred choice was emaps, but simon can't really get up here at an affordable cost so if anyone knows of a top quality local fettler that they could recomend, then I would look into that instead.

Nice car but then I would say that .  I'd be interested to hear how you get on with the remap if you go ahead with it.

DMS also offer remapps for the 530d...Bit costly though but work is guaranteed.

Phil is a top bloke who I'm sure who would be happy to turn your beast into a roaring monster...

All that torque and mid range pick up with better fuel cosumption combined makes a good car even better.

Thanks again guys for the info.
I've just received a PM from Phil and will be discussing times etc in due course as this is definetly gonna happen. (one of the reasons I wanted this car; loads of torque and re-map for maximum happiness)
If I can gain a couple extra mpg's then its all good

I'll post up thoughts and impressions as soon as I get the ere-map done. A wee xmas pressie to myself I think........
