New thread for November 06

A pub meeting is arranged for November, meeting at the usual place, the Barnes Wallis, north of Howden on the B1228 (at the level crossing).

Meet at about 7.30 pm.

http://www.barneswallisinn.com/ - http://www.barneswallisinn.com/

I'll speak to the landlord and see if we can organise a pub quiz and I'll contact some other car clubs and see if they want to join us for the evening.

Please let me know if you're coming.  If you are, bring a clever friend!

Cheers

Stu

I am in Bootham, York, Howard...not driven around this area much (not at all since moving here apart from a short drive in Rhys's car) so I am not entirely sure where any of the roads come close tbh. I know that the main road I live off is the A19, literally 10 mins walk north of York city center.

Sorry...I am usually really good on bearings but not now I don't drive

Won't be able to attend, sorry.

I'm afraid that after recent events my presence as a non member will put some off from going, which is not my intention...never has been or will be...and as I obviously offend people here, and life being way too short to make waves, I shall bow out of this and future meets.

I think it will be the best for everyone. I hope that you all have a great evening and a great Christmas too. Best wishes for a healthy 2007.

Howard, I wish you the very best in whatever you do in the future, the club is much much poorer for the loss of your enthusiasm and hard work. The same should be said for Killian and Nigel too.

Rhys, take care matey, see you around sometime. Don't be a stranger, OK.

Goldy, I don't see there's any problem as I'd prefer people who want to get involved - getting involved.

I can't get there Nick and depending on others is not how I was brought up nor is it something I like doing. Rhys is too busy to drop round on his way, and I wouldn't feel right about anyone else going right out of their way.

So good luck to you all, especially Howard. For the record, I still think you were treated badly and as one non member to another, nice to have you on this side of the fence.

Sorry, change of plan.

I won't be able to go due to being sole staffmember on all of the 5 sites that I am involved in for most of the day and evening, about 17 hours a day. One of the sites is taking in several newbies who have left another site and the post rate has gone from a couple hundred a day to almost a thousand a day. I'm also in the process of constructing a new site for the same admin. One of my staff has got internet connection failure and won't be back online for at least a week.

Sorry lads, but this one, I am skipping out on.
