are many of you like-minded bmw car crazy nuts coming to this indoor event???

should be usual high standard of cars on display PLUS the chance to off-load all those spares accumulated over the years AND meet old and new faces for some friendly car chat.

Hope to see you there.

Previous shows haven't had that good a rep... interesting to see the response to this years with the BMWCC in charge and strong support from the BMW mags.

well the show has come and gone and what can be taken on for next year??? +++ and ----???

All constructive comments are useful in identifying failings BUT the clever art is turning these on their heads and coming up with some REALLY helpful comments so the event will be more sucessful next  time.

so heres the challange how about a continuous thread on HOW TO PLAN A GREAT BMW SHOW.   lead the way chaps...

A free burn around the track in that red and yellow 8 series that was on show!!!!!!!

That would have made the day for me.

I thought the show was ok, alot of junk for sale though!!! i mean the parts not the cars...and that BMW credit card stand, kept me clear of the cars! around her!!!

I have made a start on the other forum, but it doesn't help when the chairman says "what else do you want" and his minions on said forum actively discourage anything remotely negative.

Negative critisism is necessary when something is wrong in order to try and highlight waht needs changing.
No one person has all the answers. Yes I've posted and I'm now a marked man - oo I'm so scared.

But people posting on there that is was fab, brill, groovy, great, excellent etc... and sticking their heads in the sand to shut everyting else out achieves nothing.

BTW, this is NOT an attack on you, please do not read it as one.

Even the thread title is "Great Bimmerfest". Where? When? Surely not last Sunday, if it's purpose was to get people together to meet up and chat about all things BMW, the club etc then I'm sure it was a success.

But waht about the public, I bet they didn't see it that way and if it wasn't for the punter paying his 10 quid there would be not show at all.

But then Gaydon and Donington are merely there for the club heirarchy, as the comments are proving.

the club is for the members and as in all cases IF strong reasoned points are put in a correct manner then they cannot be ignored and those at the helm must address and take notice.
