I'm looking at replacing the M3 with a little piece of exotica from germany probably.

Just wondering what's involved (costs, forms, etc) in getting a car back to the UK and on the road?

Is there a good website with this sort of info on?

Its likely to be on a '99-2000 plate.

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't answer your question but www.mcp-motorsport always have some
interesting LHD imported cars and they can find and import stuff for you
from Germany

Check this http://www.direct.gov.uk/Motoring/BuyingAndSellingAVehicle/ImportingAndExportingAVehicle/ImportingAndExportingArticles/fs/en?CONTENT_ID=4022583&chk=fvejyg - UK DVLA info

I imported a new car. I did not use any agents or importers. The UK process was really easy. I guess the VAT element is going to be the most complicated (see links to Customs and excise from above link) but may well not be an issue on a 5 year old car.
