Went to dealer this morning to book car in for noisy front wheel bearing.

car has been recalled for faulty steering arm whatever that is.

Mine is 99 E36 convertible, guess you should check if yours needs doing with dealers.

I bought my 1999 e36 M3 GT 2 not that long ago, First thing I did was to goto my local dealer to see if there was any outstanding recalls as my M3 before had a vanos recall. I was told my car was fine and did not need any recall work. About a month later i got a letter through the door saying my car had to get the steering joint recall! Took car back to same dealer who comfirmed that i needed the recall done. I would sugest people should contact BMW direct as the dealer computer network does not seem up to speed. (or is this a dealer problem?)
