Well my first DW Outing today
Up at the crack of sparrows to pick up Clark and onwards to Fife thru some terrible Fog
Arrive at Star around 9ish
Just a few folk kicking around, but it soon began to fill up with various cars from Golfs to Bm`s
Rich decided to show around 10am Lol and got straight in and set up washing facilities
Clark was soon set up for his safe cleaning demo on my Car
He pre soaked it via foam gun then rinsed off then using the 2 bucket method he shampoo the whole car before rinsing of again then pat drying with waffle weave MF

While this was going on Rich set up his stall

There a bit of a mix up in the order for the Rolling Road and folk that were there early never formed the Que as good as they could of and others wanted first as they had been here first
Words were exchanged but this owner got his car done then left (is this you??)

Some members from Evotechnik.net turned up as i arranged to have our first Scottish Meet at this event also (some are members on here)

They were soon getting into the car washing thing and then we went off for a wee photo shoot while Rich did some demo`s(soz no pics of demos but will boar you with loads of Bm`s)(Oh and a lovely Golf GTI with Nice alloys)

Anyway big shout to Rich from Polished bliss for getting the day set up and Clark for the company down and getting the car cleaned
Jim for having us
Nice to meet so many different enthusiast with a number of cars whether it be detailing or simply enjoyment of cars

What's the scoop on this Pete? Would Polished Bliss be able to do a full detail on the day? Or are they just there for advice / demoing techniques?

They shouldn't have been bemused - it's well known the later M cars really dislike RRs due to all the electrickery.

I can imagine the scene..people bickering about who was first and someone came along saw what was going on, and jumped the queue.

Were there any electronic issues on the day?

No! Guy put a torque wrench handle down each of the holes where the bonnet pins go ........ and hey presto!!! My main concern was the paintwork! as you can see by Bluebros pic, they strapped the car down with one strap run from one side through the inside of the car and out the other!  The guy said he felt he would have got 340 if hed done another run - basically down to the smg gearbox and him not having used it before.

Good pic Bluebro!

How would the manual differ from the SMG? You would assume that the SMG gadgetry would be more complicated to get round.
