Just had a ride in a friend of a friend's H reg B10!

Yup and...... Yup again!!! Get those turbos spooled up fella!

He (Ollie) has been invited to Gaydon to display it on the Alpina stand so, should see him there 'opefully.

I might make my way from the M Power display to say ello!!

(I gave him a ride in my E30 M3 and...well...ask him yourself!!)

Yes Stephen, some (modesty prevents me from naming names) people have been known to be invited to Gaydon

Haven't you?

Obviously not......

I was "invited" last time I went, to represent the IAM

....Fair comment

....I was told that he has been asked to to display it on the Alpina stand - which is great - because it will be good for people to have the opportunity to see one of these rare beasts, non?

I think that my original post said that, but in a way which perhaps, to some, was 'technically incorrect'.

Heres to a good event!

they have 30 spaces to fill for the Alpina Register stand, you ask and you get to display your car on their stand, space permitting

the original post inferred that access was by invitation only, which is incorrect

This is an interesting point, Stephen regarding the various stands that are represented on the day and who gets to show on them.

I have only been to Gaydon twice but had got the impression from last year that there were those who displayed their machines because they were asked to do so.....maybe this was a simple misunderstanding on my part.....
When applying for my display pass last week I was amazed when, after saying what I drove, was told that I could show it on the M Power stand. I was expecting a slot 'somewhere' but not there ! ( Last year I got 'shoved round the back of the building'!)

Maybe it's just me

Anyway. Still looking forward to it and hope to see Ollie and yourself with your Beasts!

(The straight line poke from the B10 is awesome, folks "faster than an E46 M3" according to Ollie..)

I must admit I'd love to experience the poke of the B10 bi-turbo, never seen one this way. One more to add to the wish list

Sorry Stephen, the original post inferred no such thing.

Go read it again

(p.s. and neither did my reply)

I heard today ( indirectly) that the B10 is 'broke' so will not be at Gaydon.

That's a real shame. A truly Legendary Classic Motor.....

Broken?

What, in the sense of an invitation being ripped up?

Simon, be a darling and pass me that wooden spoon again
