Hi,

I had a friend ask me to do some research for him as he doesn't have internet.  He's looking to buy a workshop manual for his 93 850ci.  He's heard they are available in print, microfiche or CD and he's interested in any of those.

I had a little poke around Amazon.com but couldn't find much for the 8 series.

any ideas?

Greg

The CDs are always being posted on Ebay. It's more of a parts catalogue than a workshop manual, to be honest, but very useful anyway.

There is a manual available on Amazon for the 7 series, which has a lot in common with the 8, but it's expensive.

Microfiche - I've seen these on Ebay too, but you'd need a reader

On Ebay search on 'ETK','EPC', or 'TIS' to take you right there. Got mine off Ebay. As Sniff says they are not the whole story. Extracts from them can be found on:-

A must for your friend is the 'roadfly' forum (mainly US) but full of people who can answer tech questions and personal experiences working on 8's. The archives are full of procedures for doing certain jobs.
