what the best gearbox oil for a 1987 m3 as having rear seal changed as leaking and was just wondering what oil to put in . is there any special sort to use ???? thanks alex |

Russ who rebuilds the gearboxes for Moseleys told me to use BMW stuff
from the dealers or Total BV, DONT use any synthetic oils or it will wear like .... ------------- 1990 E30 M3 Sport Evolution |

Motul Gear 300 75w90 has been recommended on here and s14.net, ive got some ready to go in but need to change the gaskets first

Run ATF in the track car, no problems to date and makes the shifts smoother. Regards,
