hi, just had a call from davie, he has made me a kind offer which i shall be discussing with him at some point in the next few weeks when i take a trip out to see him,

re the other post which has been locked:

i NEVER questioned davies customer service, which was the reason i called him in the first place!

what maybe needs pointed out here is that what other people may be happy to pay is very different from what im looking to pay due to the fact i know exactly whats involved in the maintenance of these cars,

as i pointed out to davie and to which he agreed, its the same job on all e34,s just cos its an m5 does not mean the job should cost more,

i know of various e34 m5 owners dotted about the country who like me have had prices of around 320 pounds to 350 pounds to supply and fit a clutch kit , i also know of some fools who pay upwards of 800 pounds to get the same work done

the conclusion?

i am happy to pay someone slightly over the odds due to the fact i have no ramp, and i know that the man has to earn a living, its just that i found the quote he gave me to be excessive TO ME judging by the amount i have paid in the past to bmw specialists for the very same job, so i am not questioning davies skills ,attitude or customer service,

i hope this is an end to it
