Have been working on the car again today,have refurbed the calipers and fitted a pair of front disc`s and handbrake shoe`s,just needs bleeding.
The only thing I need is the diff,apparently it will be ready this week.As soon as I get it I will book Brands,normally I trust the people doing the work for it to be ready on time,but have been bitten in the **** once to often.  Will chase them tommorrow.

Yep, it'll be the first trackday since stripping out the car and changing everything. It goes in this weekend for the Khumo tyres and Royal Purple gearbox and diff oil and a service and that's it until Donnington on the 18th. I doubt the roll cage will arrive in time for Brands, but it should be fitted for the summer trackdays

You can use the AP22 with a GPS add on. Not as convenient as the DL1, but works for me (haven't got the GPS yet £200 plus VAT!!) ------------- E61 520d, slow and buzzy but my wallet likes the mpg..... |

You must take your completed indemnity forms with you to the track, failure to do so will result in delays or not being able to complete the day

I haven't been sent any indemnity forms yet. Best I check if they're downloadable.

Will road test it tomorrow,got held up by a rounded off nipple  and wasted a couple of hours.
Just got to bleed the brakes and fill the diff. Looks like I had the diff done in the nick of time as the imput bearing was about to collapse. Will book it tomorrow. Jon |

Only cracked front and rear bumpers,could have been alot worse.Very low speed impact.
Just gutted as I had a full body restoration done on it last year and it(was) is mint.

That`s very true.I was more than happy with mine when it was a standard 2.3 @217bhp,but as I blew it up and had to rebuild it anyway so I thought why not?
I`ll give you a few passenger laps in it and you can tell me if it was worth it.

I've managed to convince my boss to give me the afternoon off work... so I'll pop down. Car's still not ready for track unfortunately but I'll bring my lid with me in case anyone needs some ballast to stabilise their cars...

We did the 14/3 and was a good day (weather held off). A decent time round Brands Indy on road tyres, dry circuit, for Kumhos is around 52-54secs

not that I every timed it as it's not allowed on track days, but I think I never got under a minute. More like 1.03-1.05 (Goodyear F1 one rear in 225/45 the other in 245/45 ) and stock 195bhp car. ------------- E61 520d, slow and buzzy but my wallet likes the mpg..... |

Wow! that adds over 3secs to a lap plus whatever the advance in machinery/driver skill is, too.... Gonna have to get myself to Brands soon, then, to try it out.... Well...only had 83bhp according to the RR at the time! I think I've still got the timing sheets so I'll dig them out to check the times... Although Brands Indy isn't a power circuit at all...In fact, when I raced a Hillman Hunter GLS back in the 80s I (with around 125bhp and in road trim) I could manage around 59s I've also watched a Classic Saloon race with a Mini winning outright (beating the Galaxies, Mustangs and Lotus Cortinas).... ------------- 1987 E30 M3 1996 E36 328i SE 4dr (Manual) 1992 E34 525iX Touring...SOLD |

he is starting this year in the porsche speed championship. I must admit he is very quick indeed. the car is quite special too. full rose jointed suspension upgrade, slicks, cup exhaust and ecu fiddles with by parr motorsport. produces I think 417bhp. Has just had new carbon wheels to replace the bbs lm's. I think he is up there on the day - you cant miss him. ------------- am |

His name is Tim Chandler. Uses parr all the time with the rs. looked after the car for the last couple of years. have just checked the eaytrack list and his name is down. Does that mark sumpter still run paragon? i remember him from when my dad bought his 993 from them. ------------- am |
