Have found out why my heated rear window is not working - the connection to the 'element' on the window has broken

It actually looks like it has fatigued off, more or less right at the window itself

Is this repairable?

Am fearing the worst, especially as my car is a Sport and don't want to fit a second hand standard thickness window...

Did this same repair yesterday. My window is out of the car at the moment so it was easier.

I left the remains of the old spade connector soldered to the glass and soldered a short length of cable on to the top of that. I then attached a spade connector to the other end of the cable. I can now connect to the wiring loom without having to push against the connector on the glass.

I used a 40w soldering iron and prefluxed solder on a cold day without pre-heating the glass........... and all was well.
